However, today's teens are under tremendous peer pressure to participate in self-defeating and self-destructive behaviors. As they search to find their own identity amidst a crowd of negative influences, frequently their attitude and behavior will spiral out of control. In spite of your love and attention, their judgment has become temporarily clouded, rendering them incapable of comprehending the direction of their life choices. Consequently, they fail or fall behind in school jeopardizing their future.
Located at the base of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains of Utah, in one of America's safest communities, the Discovery Academy is a wonderful place for bright but failing teens 12 to 17 years of age. Discovery Academy is a coed, treatment oriented, boarding school designed to help teenagers that are failing at school, at home, and within the community. The Academy offers a unique opportunity for students to excel academically while working on maladaptive behaviors and coping mechanisms.
